We are looking for a driven and capable Cost Control Manager to support us with the development of multiple Datacenter projects for one of the top technology clients in the world. This is a client-facing role. You will be responsible for performing more complex aspects of planning and scheduling, including planning, change management, scheduled maintenance, and multi-project resource management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish a strong relationship with the client and communicate with both technical and management-level personnel

  • Implement, administer, and maintain cost control processes, procedures, and systems

  • Track budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts

  • Analyze and integrate cost estimates and forecasts provided by contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers

  • Identify EAC, CPI, and SPI to reflect project status

  • Develop accurate and timely reports to reflect project status and financials

  • Identify cost trends and report analysis to stakeholders to drive strategic decisions

  • Identify program and project risks and provide recommendations to mitigate the impact of these risks

  • Prepare PowerPoint decks and present to management on progress, findings, and recommendations

  • ·Developing and implementing an earned value system (EVM) that accurately measures project work progress and performance

  • Performing ad-hoc analysis as required by the project manager

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
     

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required

    • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience working in project controls on large scale construction projects

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management, or other related fields

    • An excellent understanding of project controls and financial reporting

    • Primavera P6 resource and cost loading experience

    • Strong analytical skills

    • An excellent understanding of construction and cost controlling best practices

    • Experience in client-facing positions

    • Demonstrated ability to understand technical and complicated construction programs and the ability to communicate progress to both technical and management-level personnel

    • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate with any audience clearly and accurately

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

  • Preferred

    • Masters’ degree in a related field

    • CCT / CCP / EVP certification

    • Active membership in AACEi, or similar association
       

POSITION DETAILS

  • Primary Location: Plano, TX

  • Position: Cost Control Manager

  • Position Classification: Salary based full-time regular hours

  • Travel: 25% travel expected
