We are looking for a driven and capable Business Development Manager to support us with the development of multiple Datacenter projects for one of the top technology clients in the world. This is a client-facing role. You will be responsible for performing more complex aspects of planning and scheduling, including planning, change management, scheduled maintenance, and multi-project resource management.

The BD Manager will play an integral role in mentoring staff, forming long-term relationships with clients and pursuing new work, including strategy development, positioning, proposing, and negotiating contracts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifies strategic opportunities with owners, developers, architectural & engineering firms, and general contractors.

  • Generates new leads by reaching out to ideal Decima clients, develops and executes cold and warm outreach strategies (emails, calls, meetings, etc.), and implements creative methods to develop new business opportunities.

  • Utilizes existing industry relationships to identify new prospects and opportunities for all Decima International services.

  • Secures meetings with high-level decision-makers.

  • Communicates effectively Decima's services and aligns scope and fee with clients during live meetings and calls and is self-sufficient in client meetings without involvement from leadership.

  • Maintains and nurtures the relationship with current clients, while actively engaging with potential prospects to foster new connections and convert prospects to new clients.

  • Achieves monthly and annual goals for sales revenue, proposal generation, and client interaction.

  • Pursues and manages regular proposal follow-up activity to achieve a 40% minimum win rate.

  • Maintains consistent records of lead and client interactions (calls, messages, in-person meetings, etc.) by utilizing Decima’s CRM tool (Salesforce). Achieve monthly and annual target metrics for client outreaches, meetings, proposals, etc.

  • Communicates expeditiously awarded projects with clients and Decima’s operations to ensure successful handoff.

  • Develops and manages a partner referral program. Meets referral partners on a regular basis to share leads, business opportunities, potential client introductions, and industry referrals.

  • Prepares and presents weekly and monthly business metrics and status updates reports/decks to senior leadership.

  • Attends local industry meetings, events, and conferences in order to build a network; participate in a leadership capacity in industry organizations.
     

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required

    • Industry associated bachelor’s degree (Business, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Economics, etc.)

    • Minimum 8 years of experience of proven success within business development and sales in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry.

    • Existing relationships with decision-makers within the AEC industry.

    • Proven track record of opening new doors and establishing new partnerships.

    • Accountable and results-oriented team player with a commitment to generating new business, driving revenue, and achieving goals.

    • Salesforce or other CRM experience.

    • Exceptional grammar, business writing, and presentation preparation skills.

    • Professional verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality with sensitive company information.

    • Excellent planning and organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

  • Preferred

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.

    • Publisher or other graphic marketing software experience.

    • Salesforce experience.
